dear friends

this is to inform a ‘must watch’ movie running in bangalore

recently when i was in Rangashankara for ranga ugadi, Arundati Nag insisted me to watch-The lives of others

as a prompt school boy, i was in ‘fun cinema’ in cunningham road the very next day. this film in german is a movie which tells the onslaught of absolute power in a cold voice.

with ‘where power is obsolute, nothing is private..’ as catch line, has won Oscar for Best Film (Foreign language category)

  3. this is a film that demonizes the former east german communist regime with usual demogagy of west ‘individual freedom’ etc….. not at all a balanced view of whatever negative developments that would have happened.

    I watched it in Bangalore International film festival.
    Our friend, Vidyashankar (Suchitra President) got it for the last day of the festival.
    Really a great movie.
